Walker was cited for striking Glenn Morrison |
Hull KR will be without Chev Walker for Friday's Super League game against Leeds after he failed in his appeal to overturn a one-match ban. The 26-year-old centre was found guilty of striking Bradford's Glenn Morrison in the 13-13 draw at Odsal on Sunday and was also given a 300 fine. His place will be taken by New Zealand international Jake Webster. "It's a shame for Chev because he was just starting to find a bit of form," said coach Justin Morgan. "But it's not bad having an international centre coming in to replace an international centre." Walker, who returned to rugby league in 2008 after a spell with union side Bath, missed the last three months of last season with a wrist injury. Rovers will also be without captain Mick Vella because of a knee injury. He suffered knee ligament damage in the draw with Bradford and could be out for six weeks.
