Hull FC ban alcohol for play-off against Hull KR

Hull FC

Hull FC have banned fans from drinking alcohol in their seats during the play-off with Hull KR amid concerns about crowd trouble.

Last Saturday's match with Leeds was disrupted when a Hull fan tackled the Rhinos' Scott Donald on the pitch.

Hull chief executive James Rule said: "We are in the process of a full investigation into last Saturday's anti-social behaviour in the stadium.

"We need to take proactive action so that this club's name isn't tarnished."

Rule added: "I am the first to acknowledge that 99.9% of our fan base are impeccably well behaved and we generate huge crowds at the KC Stadium and take thousands of fans on the road to away games without any incidences of anti-social behaviour.

"However, it only takes a second to damage a reputation that has taken years to build and I will not stand by and allow idiotic behaviour to damage this club."
