Carvell's injury is just the latest setback for Hull |
Hull FC prop Garreth Carvell has been ruled out for three-and-a-half months after it was confirmed he ruptured knee ligaments in the game with Warrington. The Great Britain and Wales prop said the injury, after a tackle by Rob Parker, was a total accident.
"I can't believe it, especially as I was really looking to make a big impact at the start of the season. To say I'm gutted is an understatement," he said.
"I've just got to get on and put 100% into my rehab."

The news is another early-season blow to the Airlie Birds, who already had Gareth Raynor, Lee Radford and Richard Whiting sidelined by injury before the campaign even began.
"Immediately I hit the floor I knew something had gone but I hoped I'd get a bit of luck and it wouldn't be as bad as we feared," added Carvell.
"I can't do anything about it and I have just got to get on with things."
Hull, who opened their Super League season with a 32-20 defeat at Warrington, entertain Harlequins on Sunday.
