Tickle joined Wigan from Halifax three years ago |
Former Wigan second-row forward Danny Tickle has joined Super League rivals Hull FC on a two-year contract. The Grand Final runners-up stepped in after the 23-year-old was released by Wigan last month.
Tickle said: "I had other offers, but I was really pleased when Hull came in. They have shown in the last couple of years they are up there with the best."
"Danny is a good young player with ambition and that is exactly what we want," added Hull coach Peter Sharp.
"He is looking to put his career back on track and he will certainly bring something different to the squad we already have.
"Danny is also an excellent goal-kicker and as everyone knows we are short in that department should Paul Cooke get injured."
Tickle joins fellow former Wigan man Wayne Godwin at the East Yorkshire club.
