Motu Tony has also left Castleford for Hull |
Hull have made second-rower Jamie Thackray their second signing in four days from relegated Castleford. The 24-year-old, who rejected another unnamed Super League club, will link up with former Tigers team-mate Motu Tony, who signed for Hull on Monday.
The former Halifax player has only signed a one-year deal because he has not played since May due to a broken arm and needs to prove his fitness.
Hull are also tipped to land a third Tigers player in prop Andy Lynch.
Thackray said: "I have only signed for one year because I realise I have to prove I have recovered from this injury.
"I felt a one-year deal was fair to myself and the club and I am delighted to be coming to Hull who I believe are a club on the up and will win honours.
"In fact, I am so convinced of that I turned down a better offer from another Super League club to come to the KC."
Thackray is coach John Kear's fourth signing as he prepares to take over from director of rugby Shaun McRae in 2005.
