Tony has plenty of NRL and Super League experience |
Motu Tony became the first Castleford player to depart in the wake of their relegation from Super League after he joined Hull in a two-year deal. The 23-year-old joined the Tigers halfway through the season but could not save them from the drop.
"I'm very pleased to be joining a really good side who I believe will be a major player in the forthcoming play-off series," said Tony.
"I can't wait to knuckle down and stake my claim for a starting position."
Tony added: "A big factor in signing for the club was the fact that I would be linking up with my Kiwi team-mates Richard Swain and Stephen Kearney. "I'm really looking forward to playing with these guys and the other world-class players at the club."
John Kear, due to take over from Shaun McRae as Hull coach for next season said: "I'm delighted to announce that Motu has signed for the club.
"One of the most appealing things about Motu is his versatility. He covers every position in the back line and can also play at hooker.
"I expect him to be an outstanding acquisition for Hull and he is another young player who has more tomorrows than yesterdays."
Tony as had spells with the New Zealand Warriors and Brisbane Broncos as well as earning three caps for New Zealand.
