Huddersfield Giants prop Keith Mason has been ruled out for at least a month after suffering a pectoral muscle tear.

The 28-year-old was injured in the early stages of Friday's 24-12 home win over Bradford in the Giants' opening Super League game of the season.

Giants coach Nathan Brown said: "He's torn his pec, so he's going to be out four to six weeks, possibly longer."

Mason made 28 appearances for the Giants last season, scoring two tries - both against Harlequins.
