Huddersfield's Jamahl Lolesi has signed a new two-year contract which will keep him at the Galpharm Stadium until the end of the 2011 season.

The 28-year-old centre or second rower has made 69 appearances for the Giants since joining from Wests Tigers at the start of the 2007 season.

"It's really good news we've sorted a deal out," he said.

"The club is on the brink of some good things and I want to be a part of it," the former Kiwi international added.

"I've achieved what I wanted to achieve in Australia with winning the Premiership and representing my country.

"The next step is over here and the big challenge now is to achieve something here in Super League and the Challenge Cup," he continued.

Huddersfield coach Nathan Brown, whose side face Castleford in the Challenge Cup quarter-final on Sunday, said: "This contract is a reward for the work Jamahl has put in since I've been here."
