Ireland international Simon Finnigan moved to the Giants from Bradford

Huddersfield Giants' Simon Finnigan has been ruled out for six weeks due to knee ligament damage.

The 27-year-old second row suffered the injury in Friday night's 16-12 win against his former club Bradford Bulls.

Giants head coach Nathan Brown said: "Simon has fitted in well and was making a very positive impression. We'll definitely miss him."

The Giants also have an early injury doubt over stand-off Kevin Brown for Friday's home clash with Hull FC.

Ireland international Finnigan, who has made a big impact since his close-season move from Bradford, joins prop Eorl Crabtree on the long-term injury list.
