Bosc played in Catalans' first season in Super League in 2006

Catalans Dragons have appointed scrum-half Thomas Bosc as team captain for the 2010 Super League season.

The 26-year-old France international takes over from Greg Bird following his move to NRL side Gold Coast Titans.

"Thomas has been at the club since the beginning and has improved dramatically since his debut in Super League," said coach Kevin Walters.

"He is a key player for the Catalans and the national team and I feel he is ready to take on this role."

Bosc's fellow international Jerome Guisset retains his role as club captain.
