McGuire has filled in at hooker for the Dragons this season

Catalans Dragons captain Casey McGuire has signed a new two-year contract that will keep him at the Perpignan club until the end of the 2010 season.

The former Brisbane Broncos stand-off is in his second year in Super League with the French club.

McGuire, who has made nine appearances this season, missed last year's Challenge Cup final because of injury.

"Casey's versatility will prove to be beneficial for the Dragons," said general manager Christophe Levy.
