Wigan coach Brian Noble has registered his interest in the vacancy at Catalans Dragons, according to the French club. Dragons chairman Bernard Guasch said the Wigan coach is one of around 20 applicants hoping to succeed the St Helens-bound Mick Potter next season. Noble is out of contract at the end of the current season but is in talks with Warriors about a new deal. Guasch told the Rugby Leaguer and League Express newspaper Noble had "put his name forward". | 606: DEBATE |
He added: "We now have about 20 applications which shows how the Dragons have grown in stature in two years. "We've had applications from some very well-known coaches, both British and Australian, with exceptional CVs." Other names linked with vacancy are Huddersfield coach Jon Sharp, Celtic Crusaders boss John Dixon and former London Broncos coach Tony Rea. Outgoing Canterbury Bulldogs boss Steve Folkes heads a list of potential candidates from Australia.
