Mathieu Griffi has been ruled out of the final |
Catalans coach Mick Potter has criticised Super League officials for disrupting his side's preparations for next week's Challenge Cup final. The Dragons have just three days to prepare for Wembley after their match against Warrington was moved back to this Sunday evening for TV scheduling.
The French team will fly back from Manchester to Perpignan on Monday before leaving for London on Thursday.
"I'm 'filthy' with whoever makes those decisions," Potter said.
"It's a real short turnaround - we've got double the travelling. But by the time I get to find out about it, the deal's been done. You can't do anything about it."
By contrast, defending champions St Helens, who play Salford in the Super League on Friday, will have a full week to prepare for the Wembley showpiece next Saturday.
The Dragons have suffered a further injury blow with prop Mathieu Griffi ruled out of the final with a torn quadricep muscle.
They already have concerns over utility back Thomas Bosc and stand-off Casey McGuire.
"It's come at a pretty bad time for him (Griffi)," said Potter. "He tore a hamstring at the start of the year but was coming along nicely this year."
Meanwhile, former Warrington forward Jerome Guisset will definitely miss Sunday's match at the Halliwell Jones Stadium because of an Achilles problem, but is expected to be fit for the Challenge Cup final.
