Youngquest joined Crusaders from Gateshead earlier this year |
Castleford Tigers have signed Australian winger Nick Youngquest from Crusaders on a two-year deal. The Sydney-born 27-year-old will link up with Cas before the start of the 2011 Super League season. Youngquest made 37 appearances in the NRL while at Cronulla, St George Illawarra, Penrith and Canterbury before joining French side Pia. He joined Gateshead in 2009 before switching to Crusaders at the start of the season. Youngquest said: "The Tigers are a club with a lot of history and I guess there will be more expectations of me than when I came to Crusaders. I'm ready for that and looking forward to a new challenge. "I started out here [Crusaders] at full-back but have played most of the year on the wing which is where I'm expecting to figure and where I feel more at home. "As a winger I enjoy scoring tries but I like to do the hard work as well which is so important. I feel that the forwards appreciate my help in taking the ball forward."
