Michael Shenton has ended speculation over his future by signing a new two-year contract with Castleford. The 22-year-old Tigers centre had been linked with a move to Bradford Bulls as a replacement for Shontayne Hape but he has decided to stay at the Jungle. Coach Terry Matterson told BBC Radio Leeds: "There was a lot of interest in Michael but we've put a lot of work into getting him where he is today. "I know he always wanted to stay at Cas and I'm really pleased we've got him." Matterson added: "He's another one to pledge his future after Joe Westerman and it's really important that we keep hold of our quality juniors. "That's happening so the future's looking bright here."
