Bradford Bulls have appointed marketing expert Andrew Bennett to the club's board of directors. The 50-year-old lifelong Bradford fan spent the last year working helping market the club on a voluntary basis. Bennett said: "Our goal is not only to be the best team in Super League and the best supported team in Super League, but also to be the best run. "And I would suggest that as a starting point in 2010 we will be well ahead of the game." Bennett has a successful career in direct marketing behind him, which started back in 1977 when he joined Bradford company Damart. In 1988 he established the largest independent direct marketing agency in the UK. Bulls chairman Peter Hood added: "The challenges involved in operating a professional sports club as a commercially viable and consistently competitive enterprise are substantial. "Recruiting the best brains and specialist skill-sets is essential and Andrew Bennett's contribution is already having a hugely positive impact."
