Bradford chief executive Gareth Davies will leave the club at the end of the season to take an as yet unspecified role in rugby union. Davies leaves Odsal after just 18 months in the role.
"It was always envisaged that Gareth's time with the Bulls would be longer," said Bradford chairman Peter Hood.
"But we understand that opportunities occur for talented individuals and we are not surprised that his achievements have been noted elsewhere."
Davies admitted it was a difficult decision to leave the club.
"Whilst it would be inappropriate at this juncture for me to say more about where I am going - other than to confirm it is to my original sport of rugby union - I shall certainly not be severing my ties with this great club," he said.
"The many fond memories of my time with the Bulls will, I know, remain with me always.
"I have been, and will always be, immensely proud to have served Bradford and to have worked alongside a marvellous group of coaches, players and staff."
