Catalans' hat-trick hero Clint Greenshields is a French international
Clint Greenshields ran in a hat-trick as Catalans Dragons secured a 32-22 victory against Crusaders.
Greenshields' ninth-minute try was followed by a score from Ben Farrar.
Jarrod Sammut closed the gap but Greenshields scored twice either of half-time, with Tony Martin's score sandwiched in between.
Two Vince Mellars tries levelled it up but Farrar notched his second try, Scott Dureau taking his tally to 12 points with the boot to seal victory.
Crusaders coach Iestyn Harris: "We didn't start the game particularly well because Rhys Williams came up with an error from a high ball and we were 6-0 down.
"Another error made it 12-0 down and you are climbing a mountain to try and get back into the game. We did enough in the game to get the two points. It was just a lack of skill and ability to keep building pressure on the other side.
"At the end, we had a harsh penalty which put them on our goal-line and they ultimately scored so you have to take that.
"I felt as though we had enough to win that game and the players are extremely frustrated, as I am and everyone else is in the club."
Catalan Dragons coach Trent Robinson: "Your confidence as a team, knowing how to win and knowing how to lose, is what matters.
"We have improved in the last three or four weeks and the ethics have been there that we didn't have in the first two weeks.
"We are working really hard and probably playing the right footie but we didn't know how to control it in the second half.
"We have got a good spirit in the club, with the foreign guys mixing with the French guys, and in the end winning makes it more confident. I still think this spirit is the foundation for us."
