St Helens ran in eight tries to condemn 12-man Catalans to a third straight loss and climb to fourth in the Super League table. The French side opened up an early 8-4 lead but saw Olivier Elima sent off for a foul on Jonny Lomax. This proved to be a decisive moment, as Saints ran in 38 unanswered points. Francis Meli and Matt Gidley both scored twice and Kyle Eastmond kicked five goals before Chris Walker got the hosts a late consolation try. The Dragons were given a dream start with centres Setaimata Sa and Walker crossing the line in the opening nine minutes before Lomax hit back for the Saints. And after the foul by Elima that saw the France captain see red, Lomax touched down again to level the scores, with Eastmond adding the extras to give the visitors a lead that they did not relinquish. As well as the doubles from Meli and Gidley, Eastmond and Marie Fa'asavalu also crossed the line as last year's beaten Grand Finalists romped to victory.
