Huddersfield's desperate start to the Super League season continued as they were edged out by Catalans Dragons.

The Giants began poorly, letting Catalans build a 12-0 lead with tries from Thomas Bosc and Lionel Teixido.

They drew level through Chris Nero and a solo effort from Ryan Hudson but Catalans then pulled clear again.

Late tries from Stuart Jones and Stephen Wild set up an exciting finish but Huddersfield could not overturn the deficit and remain bottom of the table.

The Giants are the only side in the Super League without a point.
