Withers is rumoured to be joining Wigan at the end of the season |
Veteran full-back Michael Withers says a sixth successive Grand Final appearance for Bradford would be an "extra special" achievement. The Bulls have had to overcome the loss of coach Brian Noble and prop Stuart Fielden midway through the season.
But the defending champions are just two wins from Old Trafford after crushing Salford 52-6 on Saturday.
"To get there this year would be extra special," said Withers. "The club has been through turmoil all year."
Ironically, Withers has been tipped to join Noble and Fielden at Wigan once the current campaign is over.
But is he does leave Odsal, he wants to bow out with another Grand Final appearance.
"Personally it would be great to get there again," said the 30-year-old Australian. "It would be awesome.

"I've been very fortunate in my time at Bradford to play in five in a row."
Bradford will entertain Warrington next week after the Wolves caused a big shock by beating Leeds Rhinos 18-17 at Headingley Carnegie.
"Warrington performed very well at Leeds," said Withers. "It is important to be at home and hopefully we can make it count next week.
"We've got the buzz being in the play-offs. We'll just take it week by week and try to build on our performances.
"I don't know what it is but we seem to know how to win a semi-final. The majority of the squad have been there before.
"When semi-finals come, you have to click up another gear and we've done that, but we've got to go up another gear for next week."
