Bradford's nine-try rout of Salford set up a Super League elimination semi-final against Warrington Wolves.
Last season's Grand Final winners showed they were in no mood to give up their title by taking a 12-0 lead within the first 10 minutes at Odsal.
Shontayne Hape led the romp with four tries - two in each half - to equal the Super League play-off record.
Michael Withers, Brett Ferres, Andy Lynch, Chris McKenna and Sam Burgess also found their way over.
Salford looked shocked by Bradford's blistering start and their cause was further hampered when Andrew Dunemann was forced off after 10 minutes after taking a couple of heavy knocks.
The Reds struggled throughout with a host of errors and the kicking game of Paul Deacon also caused them big problems.
Hape went over for a brace of tries midway through the half to put the Bulls well in control and then completed his hat-trick early in the second half.
David Hodgson finally put Salford on the scoreboard but their joy was short-lived as Lynch quickly responded and from then on, it was all one-way traffic.
Bradford coach Steve McNamara "I've got to be pleased. It was important that we started well and from the first kick-off we were on the front foot. We started the game strong and we were pretty fluent throughout."
"There is a desire and a passion to get to the Grand Final again. We are the champions and we're a pretty proud bunch but we are a long way off and this is just one hurdle.
"We lost a lot of players with mountains of Grand Final experience and it's credit to the experienced players still here and the culture of the club that we seem to find our best form."
Salford coach Karl Harrison "We came here with lots of confidence but that was kicked out of us very early in the game.
"Andrew Dunemann has been instrumental this season for us and his loss disrupted us a great deal.
"I can't be too critical of the players They've given it everything they've got this season. Even tonight, when we were getting beat by a far superior team, they tried really really hard and never gave in."
