The Giants ran in 11 tries to demolish a poor Harlequins side, whose woes were compounded by the loss of Zebastian Lucky Luisi to a bad shoulder injury. The visitors led 12-8 with tries from Tim Hartley and Luisi but were totally outplayed in the second half. The home side scored 32 unanswered points after the break, with Chris Thorman terrorising his old club. The stand-off touched down twice and kicked 10 goals to finish with a tally of 28 points in a one-sided victory. Huddersfield coach John Sharp "We managed to get a roll on, and Chris Thorman and Robbie Paul were allowed to play on the front foot, which makes a massive difference. "This game was vital for us. We spoke about how pleased we have been about how we've played this year. "We set ourselves some standards last week against a very good Saints side and felt it was important this week to maintain our consistency and level of performance. We did that." Harlequins coach Tony Rea "We showed spirit early on and we were together as a group. "But when we went down to 15 players, it showed and they took advantage of it. "And basic errors made it an embarrassing footie game for us."
