The game was effectively over after the Bulls ran in four tries in the opening 22 minutes though Brad Meyers, Stuart Fielden and Iestyn Harris.
Salford pulled a try back through David Hodgson on 24 minutes but Harris scored again just before the break.
The Reds improved after half-time but further tries from Shontayne Hape and Stanley Gene sealed the victory.
Salford coach Karl Harrison:
"I am disappointed with the performance. We looked a shadow of the team we have been for the past couple of weeks. "We prepared really well for this game but for whatever reason probably half of the team didn't show up.
"We never really got flowing and the overall performance was very poor.
"It is disappointing when you go behind early, but that is not the reason we got beat. The best team won convincingly."
