Super League strugglers Wakefield have signed Sydney Roosters prop Dallas Hood.

The 24-year-old Australian has agreed a two-year contract but has yet to be granted a work permit.

Wildcats coach Shane McNally told BBC Radio Leeds: "He's been at the Roosters for some time now and is a strong-running forward who can also offload the ball in the tackle.

"He's just what we've been looking for not only for the last three games but for next season as well."
