The 31-year-old, who joined the club last year, has struggled with injuries throughout the current Super League campaign. But he made a try-scoring return against Wakefield last weekend. There had been speculation that Hetherington would return to play Down Under or even retire.
But the news that he is to stay with the Broncos is a huge boost for the club. Hetherington said of his team-mates: "They're a very solid group of players and that certainly played a big part in me agreeing to a new deal. "My family is well settled and we're pleased to be staying with London for another season. "I still have the hunger and physical ability to compete at the top level and I still love playing the game." | See also: 28 Jul 02 | Super League 05 May 02 | Rugby League 05 May 02 | Super League Top Super League stories now: Links to more Super League stories are at the foot of the page. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
