Karl Harrison has stepped down as England coach after two years in order to spend more time with his family. The Salford City Reds coach is also set to sign a new three-year contract with his club side.
He led England to European Nations Cup success in 2004 and last year coached them to a win over France and a narrow defeat by New Zealand.
Harrison said: "I want a break to spend more time with my family at the end of this season."
Harrison had been England coach since July 2004, when he replaced John Kear.
England will take part in a four-nations tournament involving France and probably Samoa and Tonga in this country when Great Britain are involved in the end-of-season Tri-Nations.
