Smith is set to miss the 27 June NZ v GB Test |
New Zealand will be without Parramatta half-back Jeremy Smith for the Test against Great Britain at St Helens on 27 June because of suspension. Smith is facing a four-match ban after pleading guilty to a misconduct charge following an incident during the defeat to St George Illawarra last Friday.
"That is something I was really looking forward to," said Smith, who was seen to push referee Sean Hampstead.
"Playing for your country is the ultimate goal of any player."
He added: "That opportunity has been taken away from me because of my actions on Friday night."
