Kennedy handed Kangaroos call-up
Ben Kennedy
Veteran forward Ben Kennedy has been added to Australia's train-on squad for the Tri-Nations following Manly's elimination from the NRL play-offs.

The Sea Eagles were beaten 46-22 by the Parramatta Eels, who are just one victory away from the Grand Final.

St George Illawarra Dragons are also one match away from the final after their 28-22 defeat of Cronulla.

Melbourne Storm, North Queensland Cowboys, West Tigers and Brisbane are all still in the hunt for NRL glory.

Melbourne meet North Queensland on Saturday for a place in the preliminary final against the Eels while Wests and the Broncos face each other on Sunday for the right to take on the Dragons.

Manly struggled against Parramatta, making a number of crucial errors, and never recovered from being 28-0 down at the interval.

The Dragons were made to work hard against the Sharks and only secured victory six minutes from time when winger Wes Naiqama went over in the corner.

Melbourne overcame the loss of forward Robbie Kearns and full-back Billy Slater to beat Brisbane 24-18 at Lang Park but the pair are now doubts for next week's match.

Brett Hodgson scored a play-off record 30 points as Wests defeated North Queensland Cowboys 50-6.
