Former Great Britain coach David Waite is confident the establishment of a Super League club in France will lead to a stronger international game. Waite leaves his post as Rugby Football League performance director at the end of the month to prepare Perpignan for entry into the competition in 2006.
"If we can get a Super League in France that is competitive there is no way the game is not going to improve," he said.
"Perpignan is an exciting project with lots of positives for the sport."
