Saints turn to league after loss
Keiron Cunningham
Great Britain star Keiron Cunningham said St Helens would have to focus on Super League after their disappointing loss to Hull in the Challenge Cup.

"You can't take anything away from Hull because they played really well, but we failed to do what we planned," he said.

"You can't pinpoint incidents in the game where it went wrong because our attitude was wrong from the start.

"We just have to redouble our efforts and look to our Super League game with Warrington next week."

Jon Wilkin said the Saints squad would be strong enough to bounce back and win the engage Super League title for the first time in three years.

Although we really wanted to win the cup we will treble our efforts to win the league

"Obviously we wanted to beat Hull and we didn't so we're disappointed but we're a group of winners," he said.

"We've been down before, but we're a strong group, good friends, good players and we have a great coach.

"Winners don't give up and we're going to regroup, work hard and look to sort ourselves out.

"Although we really wanted to win the cup we will treble our efforts to win the league."

Saints are just one point behind Super League leaders Leeds with 22 games played.
