RF: "A combination of pace and power proved to be Halifax's undoing when Wigan full-back Joe Lydon and loose forward Ellery Hanley combined to seal victory with an early second-half try.
"Receiving the ball from a Halifax restart, the pacy Lydon raced through the middle of the Yorkshiremen's defence.
"After a 60m dash, he offloaded to Hanley, who continued to outpace the tiring Halifax defence before placing the ball beneath the posts for a try."
