Wigan full-back Kris Radlinski has been ruled out of his side's Super League tie with St Helens because of a neck injury.

The Great Britain international was stretchered off during the weekend's Powergen Challenge Cup semi-final against Bradford after a second-half collision with Lee Gilmour.

Medical tests showed the problem was nothing more severe than whiplash but he will be rested for the Warriors' league game with Saints on Friday.

Wigan suffered further injury setbacks in the 36-22 defeat against Bradford on Sunday.

Wigan coach Stuart Raper revealed that centre David Hodgson dislocated a shoulder and prop Craig Smith broke a finger during the game.

"It's pretty bad," said Raper. "We're battered but we've got to pick up for Friday. It's tough but we'll battle on."

Holders Wigan went into the game with just nine survivors from their cup-winning team but made the Bulls work for their victory.

After conceding two tries to go 12-2 down, Wigan hit back with two tries in six minutes to take a 16-12 half-time lead.

We were just not good enough on the day

"I'm really proud of the efforts of the guys," added Raper.

"We played some good footie just before half-time to put us in front but a couple of calls went against us and we didn't react quickly enough.

"The guys hung in there but we were just not good enough on the day."

Bradford coach Brian Noble praised his side after a strong effort saw them run in four second-half tries.

Noble said: "We've been behind at half-time a few times this season. We paid the price for not concentrating for a 10-minute spell and we just needed to re-focus a little bit.

"Wigan gave us the tough game we all expected but there were some fantastic performances today.

"A Leeds-Bradford final, a local derby. It's the dream ticket for the fans."
