Jamie Foster scored a try and landed five goals at the Stobart Stadium
St Helens put their early season stumbles in Widnes firmly behind them as they won at the Stobart Stadium for the second Friday night running.
Royce Simmons' side ran in six tries as they demolished Hull Kingston Rovers.
Stunned by Kris Welham's early try, Sia Soliola, Louis McCarthy-Scarsbrook (2) and Paul Wellens scored before the interval to earn a 24-6 half-time lead.
Jamie Foster, who kicked five goals, and James Graham then also crossed after the break to wrap up victory.
Jake Webster and Kris Welham, with his second of the night, ran in tries in the last 12 minutes to give the final scoreline a less comprehensive look.
But, while in-form Welham's brace takes him clear at the head of the Super League try scorers' list, it was another dismal outing for the injury-hit Robins.
Justin Morgan's men have now lost six of their last seven games and star signing Willie Mason, who left the field a subdued figure shortly before the hour, again failed to shine.
St Helens again had no place for Bath-bound Kyle Eastmond, who was once more made to suffer the ignominy of playing in the pre-match Under-20s game, while Saints coach Royce Simmons continued with youngsters Lee Gaskell and Jonny Lomax in the half-back slots.
The pair acquitted themselves well and joint Saints skipper Graham marked his 200th appearance with one of his side's six tries in their third straight win.
I still believe we are not too far away. That is not to make excuses, or is it any consolation for losing

But it was all-action hooker James Roby who dictated the pace of most of Saints' play with another dynamic display to put those two early season home defeats to Warrington and Harlequins firmly behind them.
Rovers actually claimed the first try of the night on 10 minutes but, even by then, they were fortunate not to be 12-0 down after Saints squandered two glorious opportunities.
Lomax found a hole to set up Tony Puletua under the posts but, after a neat side-step, the loose forward contrived to lose the ball diving over the line.
Puletua then almost made amends when he turned provider for Roby but his pass was too strong for the hooker.
Saints seemed to have paid the price when winger Webster broke clear on the left to send Welham racing over.
But it proved a minor setback as the hosts hit back, Graham powering to the line before Roby sent in Soliola.
McCarthy-Scarsbrook, fresh off the bench, then took Roby's pass to crash over by the posts for his first try since moving from Harlequins.
And the England prop did not have to wait long for his second, coming in almost identical fashion from a Roby pass for Saints' third in the space of 10 minutes.
Saints went further ahead three minutes from half time when Wellens supported Ade Gardner's break from inside his own half.
And the night got worse for Hull KR when full-back Shaun Briscoe limped off after colliding with Chris Flannery leaping for a high ball and landing awkwardly.
Foster, who had landed all four conversions, then took a Gary Wheeler pass to touch down on 57 minutes.
But, having failed to convert for the first time, he soon succeeded with his next opportunity when Graham went over from close range five minutes later.
Rovers at least finished with a flourish as Webster found his way over out wide and Welham slid in to claim his second in the last minute.
But, after just two wins in eight games, Morgan's men have now slumped to 12th in Super League, with only Wakefield and Crusaders (the two sides who started the season on minus figures) below them.
St Helens coach Royce Simmons: "We did some good things. I thought our forwards were very impressive tonight.
"In the last couple of weeks I have thought the halves have been coming along good and the backs did some good things. But tonight I thought the forwards were very good."
Hull KR coach Justin Morgan: "Defensively we gave up some tries on our goalline and that was not pleasing.
"It is the story of the season so far. We are good in periods but not in others. Unfortunately the not-so-good periods are costing us lots of points.
"I still believe we are not too far away. That is not to make excuses, or is it any consolation for losing, but there was some decent character shown by the team."
