Whitehaven 2010 head coach David Seeds has told his players to forget about their points deduction and concentrate on rebuilding the club in 2011. Haven were relegated to Championship One and deducted nine points after going into administration, and were reformed under a new holding company. "We've got a nine-point deduction which we've got and can't do anything about," Seeds told BBC Radio Cumbria. "We'll just work week-to-week to find wins and play some good rugby." Seeds added: "Our prime concern is the league and getting as far up that league as possible." The new Haven club was formed after chairman Dick Raaz bought the assets belonging to the former Whitehaven set-up following their move into administration. Haven begin the new campaign with a Cumbrian derby against Workington Town on Sunday, 6 February in the Northern Rail Cup.
