Cullen has been on compassionate leave for the past month

Widnes will hold a minute's silence before their game with Sheffield on Thursday in memory of Christine Cullen, the wife of Vikings coach Paul.

Christine Cullen died on Tuesday, aged 48, after a long battle with cancer.

Former Warrington and England coach Cullen has been on compassionate leave from the Championship club for a month.

A club statement said: "The club sends its prayers and heartfelt condolences to Paul, their sons Josh and Scott, and family and friends."
