Five players have been handed bans after a fight broke out during Gateshead's 50-12 defeat by Rochdale in a Championship One match last week. The Rugby Football League disciplinary committee handed a three match ban to Gateshead's Matt Barron for punching during the incident in the 79th minute. Rochdale full-back Craig Johnson was given a two match ban. Barron's team-mates Joe Brown, Michael Brown and Gareth Barron have all been banned for one game.
