York (4) 8
Tries: Schofield, Tuffour

Crusaders (30) 58
Tries: Hanbury 2, Youngquest, Thackray, Chan 2, White 2, Flower, Thomas Goals: Witt 9

Crusaders scrum-half Michael Witt
Scrum-half Witt has scored 27 Super League goals so far this season.

Scrum-half Michael Witt kicked nine conversions as Crusaders side romped to victory over York City Knights.

Brian Noble's team were 30-4 up by half-time - Rhys Hanbury (2), Nick Youngquest, Jamie Thackray and Jason Chan all crossed the line.

They continued to batter York in the second period with tries from Gareth Thomas, Ben Flower and Lloyd White (2).

Jonathan Schofield and Dennis Tuffour grabbed tries for the home side on seven and 76 minutes.

Crusaders will host Catalans Dragons in the fifth round on the weekend of 8-9 May, one of three all-Super League ties.

York coach James Ratcliffe:
"We've worked really hard and I think it takes it out of you when you are defending 26 sets and then 20 sets in the second half.

"We had to do far too much defending, to be honest, but the effort's been there and it bodes well for next week hopefully.

"We spoke earlier in the week about there being no pressure in the result - the result will take care of itself - and we reiterated that at half-time.

"It was all about what we got out of our performance."

Crusaders coach Brian Noble:
"York were great and they kept applying themselves and trying to test us until the end. It's full testament to them.

"I think what was impressive about the York side was that it looked young and if you work hard on those youngsters week by week they will improve.

"It's important that they don't lose that message and kick on in their own competition.

"We go back to Super League next week and progress in the Challenge Cup which is pleasing for us.

"We basically tried to put the game away as quickly as we possibly could because these things can go against you if you are a little loose in your application.

"We did the job well in the main. York came back and posted their own score which could have made us nervous.

"But we recognised we were going to have the advantage physically - let's not forget York are a part-time team so we had to make that physicality tell and we did in the end."
