Bradford (20) 42 Tries: Burgess, Sheriffe, Nero, Menzies, Godwin, Sykes, Deacon, Morrison Goals: Deacon (5)
Catalans (6) 18 Tries: Raguin, Gossard, Martins Goals: Mounis 3
Bradford earned their third consecutive victory with an impressive eight-try win over Catalan Dragons to keep alive their slim Super League play-off hopes. Catalans had taken the lead through Sebastien Raguin but the Bulls replied with tries from Sam Burgess, Rikki Sheriffe, Chris Nero and Steve Menzies. Further tries from Wayne Godwin, Paul Sykes, Paul Deacon, who kicked five goals, and Glen Morrison sealed it. Dragons duo Cyril Gossard and Sebastien Martins scored late consolation tries.
Bradford boss Steve McNamara: "I've said it a million times - it's out of our hands (making the play-offs). "The players have worked extremely hard all year and we've said we want to be regarded as the form team in Super League for the rest of the season. "They want some reward for the fans and ourselves, and we are going some way towards doing that." Catalans Dragons coach Kevin Walters: "There was a total lack of discipline. "I'm not sure what the penalty count was but it has been a problem all year and has happened again/ "If we don't make the top eight it will be our own doing, not because of other teams."
