Celtic Crusaders (0) 12 Tries: Dalle Cort, Tyrer Goals: Smith (2)
Crusaders' David Tangata Toa is halted by Jason Demertiou and Richard Moore
Celtic Crusaders remain adrift at the foot of Super League as Wakefield ran in eight tries in a comfortable win.
Sean Gleeson, James Stosic, Tevita Leo-Latu (2), Jason Demetriou, Luke George(2) and Danny Brough, who was later sent off for dissent, all touched down.
Mark Dalle Cort ran 35 metres to get the Crusaders on the scoreboard after an hour but it was scant consolation.
The dismissal of Brough and a late try by Steven Tyrer took the gloss off an otherwise good day for the Wildcats.
Victory cemented their position in the play-off places, while the Crusaders remain eight points adrift of Salford at the bottom.
Wakefield coach John Kear on Brough's sending off:
"If he's abused the referee he gets sent off that's the top and bottom of it, that's part of our game.
"I just hope it's consistently applied not just against Wakefield but against every Super League club because it`s something I do feel is creeping into the game.
"If it's going to be zero tolerance it needs to be zero tolerance in every game for every team."
Crusaders head coach John Dixon: "You never like it when the scoreline is convincing against you, we didn't like the scoreline today.
"Territorially the game certainly belonged to Wakefield and when we did venture up into their half our ball control, patience and execution wasn't good enough.
"There were a lot of penalties and a lot of the penalties were for guys... niggling at one another.
"It doesn't make for a great spectacle, it makes for an interesting one but not necessarily a great one."
