New arrival Radovanovic is a Serbian international

Whitehaven have finally received a work permit for Serbian prop Soni Radovanovic after agreeing the deal back in January.

Radovanovic, 21, impressed Haven coach Ged Stokes during his time working with the Serbian national team.

European Rugby Federation development manager Jovan Vujosevic said: "This is a massive step for the game and the profile of it in Serbia.

"We hope that a lot of local players will track Soni's steps."

Soni has previously represented London Skolars and Warrington Wizards in English rugby league.
