Paul March scored for the Knights in last season's win at Cougar Park |
York City Knights coach Paul March says his side must take confidence from a strong showing in their Challenge Cup loss at Warrington into Easter's games. The Knights travel to Keighley on Good Friday and March told BBC Radio York he wants another strong performance. "We spoke about it on Tuesday that we need to take it into Easter and come away with two wins. "After the Dewsbury and Blackpool games, hopefully we can now go and put some things right," he said. At Warrington, York defended valiantly before conceding four tries in the last 10 minutes after having a man sent off. The Keighley game pits several former team-mates against each other and March said discipline would be crucial. "We got too emotionally involved when we played Dewsbury and we need to make sure we don't this time. "We need to concentrate on what we're doing and not what other teams are doing. If we do that hopefully we won't come unstuck." Forward Richard Knight was due to have a fitness test on his ankle before the game but March said even if he did not play at Keighley, he should be fit for the home game against Rochdale on Easter Monday. Jordan Ross is back in full contact training after a broken cheekbone but he is unlikely to feature on Friday. The Knights have a good record against Keighley and March said he wants to keep that going. "We went there last year and did a job so obviously if we go there in the same frame of mind I'm sure we'll get the job done."
