Huddersfield continued their impressive start to the Super League season with an easy win over Celtic Crusaders. A David Hodgson double, both converted by Brett Hodgson, gave the Giants a 12-0 lead with the Welsh side chasing their first win of the campaign. Josh Hannay's effort cut the gap before debutant Liam Fulton hit back for the Giants. Damien Quinn gave the Crusaders some hope but late tries by Kevin Brown and Michael Lawrence sealed the win.
Huddersfield coach Nathan Brown on Liam Fulton's debut: "He's definitely going to be a good player for us. "He made a few errors but showed some good touches and what people must remember is he's in a new continent with new team-mates he'd not met before and working under a new coach for the first time in his career. "He will adjust and what we will try to do is give him a stable position in the team to allow him to play at his best." Celtic Crusaders coach John Dixon: "It's a big transition for us. We've got players who had to make the transition from National League Two to National League One and now Super League in successive seasons. "We've got to be super good and work super hard in every game to get a win. "I thought our defence was pretty strong but our passing and offensive play was nowhere near any standard let alone the standards we set ourselves. That's put our defence under pressure."
