Scully on Leeds v Saints

St Helens are the reigning champions

BBC Two and the BBC Sport website will serve up a feast of rugby league action on Sunday when Bradford Bulls take on Catalans Dragons and Leeds Rhinos face holders St Helens in the fourth round of the Carnegie Challenge Cup.

Here, Hull KR coach Justin Morgan and former Challenge Cup-winning skipper Paul Sculthorpe give us their verdicts on the two big games.

Both Catalans and Bradford have had poor starts to their Super League campaigns, so Sunday's tie is a good chance for both sides to kickstart their seasons.

With no relegation to worry about, they can also put more emphasis on having a good Cup run this season.

That goes for every Super League club, who will view the competition as a great opportunity to win some silverware.

Last season, the Dragons and their vocal fans made the ground in Perpignan a fortress - it is one of the toughest Super League grounds to go to - but they have lost there three times already in 2009.

When your confidence is down, you don't generally convert your chances into points too often and you might need four or five goes to get on the scoreboard

One of those defeats came against the Bulls, although I don't think that result will have a massive bearing on Sunday's game.

Maybe if it's close late on, Bradford will be able to call on the knowledge that they have been there and done it.

I think the kicking game will be the key area because territory is going to be so important.

When your confidence is down, you don't generally convert your chances into points too often and you might need four or five goes to get on the scoreboard.

What you have to do is make sure you have good field position. If you have that, opportunities will present themselves.

In addition, the wind can also be tricky down in Perpignan, so whoever has that in their advantage needs to make that pay.

I think it will be a close game, but I have a feeling that Catalans will win if they click. They haven't so far this year, but we know how good a team they can be.

St Helens and Leeds have been the top two teams in Super League over the last few seasons and this game would have made a fitting final at Wembley in August.

The Super League game between them two weeks ago was a real high-octane and full-blooded affair, so, with so much pride at stake, I think we will see a similar type of game on Sunday.

They are two clubs who demand success and have a real winning mentality. They have taken almost all of the trophies on offer over the past few seasons.

I know that once you have tasted success you want more and get greedy, so both teams will be desperate to win.

A lot has been made of the supposed rivalry between the sides, but I don't think there is any particular dislike between them - I think they are just two sets of players for whom winning is paramount.

Ryan Bailey tackles Maurie Fa'asalavu
With so little between the sides, just one thing could decide the outcome... it could come down to a kick, a mistake or maybe a refereeing decision

There was some controversy with the incident between Maurie Fa'asavalu and Ryan Bailey in the recent league game.
Although I know Maurie wasn't happy, the last thing Saints will want is for him to go looking for revenge and maybe lose him during the game. Saints ending up winning that day, but I wouldn't read too much into that.

Sunday's game will be at Headingley, so Leeds will have home advantage, but I know that won't bother the Saints players.

With so little between the sides, just one thing could decide the outcome. It could come down to a kick, a mistake or maybe a refereeing decision.

The two packs will play a crucial role. Both are strong and vastly experienced. Whoever gets on top will have needed the platform from the forwards to do that.

Saints have been playing with a lot of confidence, so I have to go for them to win, but, like most games between these two sides, it will be close and another great advertisement for the game.

I would love to be playing. Having retired at the end of last season, I didn't think I would miss the game as much as I do.

I was really pumped up on the sidelines for the recent league game and it would have been great to have been involved, but I know I felt a lot better the morning after than the guys who played did!
