Eagles chief executive Mark Aston wants to make the top four next season. |
The Sheffield Eagles have signed the Papua New Guinea World Cup star Menzie Yere on a two-year contract. The 25-year-old centre will arrive in in January 2009, and will join Kumuls forward Trevor Exton in Sheffield. "He (Yere) is a very explosive, and a player that opposition teams will fear," Eagles chief executive Mark Aston told BBC Radio Sheffield. "Menzie is a great catch for us, we are highly delighted. I think he can have as big an impact as Stanley Gene."
