York City Knights scrum-half Danny Grimshaw has signed a new one-year contract with the club. The 22-year old missed most of the 2008 campaign after a career-threatening neck injury but he is now recovering following major surgery. Knights player-coach Paul March said: "I am pleased he has put pen to paper and following his injury he's looking for a big impact in 2009. "He will add competition for places in the half back positions." March said the player is making a good progress after his operation and he is looking forward to being able to play again. "He has a long recovery process to go through but he's determined to pull on a Knights shirt once again."
