March fit for Featherstone game
David March
David March will start at hooker against Featherstone
York City Knights hooker David March will be fit for Sunday's Northern Rail Cup tie against Featherstone Rovers.

He had been a doubt because of a calf injury but, with the game against Batley being called off last week, he had more time to recover.

Coach Paul March, David's brother, told BBC Radio York that Danny Grimshaw will also start at scrum-half.

"He will get his chance. It's up to the lad now to prove he is a first-teamer and show everybody what he can do."

The lads want to get out there and prove a point to themselves

York City Knights coach Paul March

The two sides met a fortnight ago and the Knights lost 40-16 and March says his players have a point to prove.

"Defensively, we were pretty poor in that game. If that happens again it'll be a concern but I don't think it will.

"We've worked hard in training these last couple of weeks and the lads want to get out there and prove a point to themselves."
