York City Knights will give a late fitness test to hooker David March before Sunday's game at Batley. He has pulled his calf muscle and he will be given as long as possible to prove his fitness.
Knights player-coach Paul March told BBC Radio York: "There's a few more with niggly injuries. But I'm sure by Sunday, David will be alright."
The Knights are already without hooker Paul Hughes who is suspended for two matches.
March is bringing Tom Hodgson and Danny Grimshaw in to the squad as cover for the Northern Rail Cup match.
