Deacon missed Bradford's last three games because of his hamstring injury |
Bradford scrum-half Paul Deacon has been forced to withdraw from the Great Britain train-on squad through injury. Deacon, whose last appearance for his country was two years ago, has failed to recover from the hamstring problem.
His absence is likely to guarantee a start for Leeds Rhinos star Rob Burrow in the first of three Tests against New Zealand on 27 October.
Huddersfield centre or stand-off Kevin Brown pulled out of the squad last week in order to have groin surgery.
Deacon was one of five Bulls players called up by coach Tony Smith ahead of the three-Test series against New Zealand that starts later this month.
