Huddersfield got the better of Harlequins for the second time this season with a comfortable victory. Chris Nero put the Giants ahead early on before Quins youngster Louis McCarthy-Scarsbrook went over to level in a tight opening half.
But the Giants seized control after the break with Harlequins looking below par as Nero extended his side's advantage and Steve Snitch also went over.
Tyrone Smith kept Quins in the game but Kevin Brown's late score sealed it.
Harlequins coach Brian McDermott "We started off really well but for 65 minutes, I was playing without a prop or a wing or a second-row forward.
"When we did get in good positions, we did threaten but we're an over-used team at the moment. We defended pretty well but we made a couple of mistakes through being tired.
"A couple of tries may have looked pretty soft but that was not the case. I've
now got to focus on the blokes on the dressing room and put their bodies back
together again."
Huddersfield coach Jon Sharp "I thought the team played as well as it has done for some time. I was really encouraged by some of our plays.
"We created lots of opportunities in the first half, although we caused ourselves problems by overplaying the ball at times.
"We completed nine out of 10 sets in the second half and I'm really pleased with that. You have to play tough to play in London."
